Maria Weddige-Gurney



Maria Weddige-Gurney holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico.  She earned her Bachelor's degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she studied Economics and International Affairs.

Maria brings her previous experience in business to her work as an attorney. Prior to attending law school, she spent several years in the business world, working for Intel Corporation and later at Sandia National Laboratories. Maria handled diverse business matters including purchasing and inventory management, contract drafting and negotiation, supply chain management, and business development training. 

Maria's current practice areas include tax matters, estate planning and probates, and business transactions and formation.

   
In addition to assisting her clients with various legal matters, Maria takes an active role in the firm, including acting as the unofficial IT manager, and she is known as the "techie" of the firm.
While in law school, she was involved with the Tax Law Club, and assisted low income taxpayers with income tax preparation.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid desert gardener/ landscaper.
